Daniel Mark Nestor was born in Yugoslavia but moved with his parents to Canada in 1976. He is a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers (NFL) and the Montréal Canadians (NHL). Nestor won a gold medal at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. In 2003, he hosted the first Daniel Nestor Celebrity Charity event and has raised money for North York General Hospital and Tennis Canada Go For Gold Fund charities.
He married is wife, Natasha, on July 24, 2005. The two have one daughter, Tiana Alexis, who was born on December 15, 2008.
