Ranked 117th to end 2010, Chinese Taipei's Kai-Chen Chang is a former Top 100 player who achieved a career-best ranking of 82nd in July of 2010.
Turning pro in 2007, Chang finished No. 92 in the world in 2009 by going 42-22 in WTA and ITF action. She started the season ranked No. 225 but cracked the Top 100 after reaching the round of 16 at both Tokyo and Osaka, with a memorable win over then-No. 1 Dinara Safina at the former.
She climbed to No. 82 in the world after reaching the second round at Stanford in July of 2010, but went just 7-10 the rest of the way to drop out of the Top 100.
