Petra Kvitova started playing tennis at age and is daughter to Jiří Kvita and Pavla Kvitová. She has two brothers – Jiri and Libor, who both play tennis with her father. She is coached by David Kotyza and trains at the same club as Tomas Berdych and Lucie Sarfarova. In 2010, she won the WTA Newcomer Of The Year award and then won her first Grand-Slam title at Wimbledon in 2011. Other than tennis, she likes playing volleyball and basketball. She speaks three languages – Czech, Russian and English. Her idol growing up was Martina Navratilova, who is left-handed like her.
