She never won a WTA title, and reached a career high ranking of No. 51 in singles in November of 2001, and of No. 52 in doubles in May of 2003. Her career prize money totaled $1.077 million.
De Los Rios' best Grand Slam performances came on the clay courts at Roland Garros, where she reached the fourth round in 2000, the second round in 2001 and the third round in 2002. She returned to reach the second round in 2010. She began playing professionally at age 14 in 1989, only to retire at age 20 in 1995, marrying soccer player Gustavo Neffa.
