Began playing tennis at age eight. Older brother Jonathan teaches tennis, while younger sisters Djananee and Naella both play. Quit school at age 15 to focus on tennis full time. Married wife Ilham on Dec. 12, 2009. He is only Polish by descent, his father, Wolfram, is German, and his mother, Isabelle, is Swiss. Both of his parents work at an organic farm helping handicapped people. Both sisters play tennis are currently attending school. Stanislas stopped attending school at age 15 to focus solely on tennis.
