Bulgarian Tsvetana Pironkova is the daughter of father Kiril Enchev and mother Radosveta Nikolova. Enchev is a fomrer canoe champion and introduced Pironkova to the game of tennis when she was four years old. Radosveta is a former swimming champion. Pironkova also has a brother named Encho and a sister named Elisaveta. Pironkova enjoys canoeing, swimming, listening to Bulgarian music and the movie "Gladiator." At 5-feet, 11-inches, she is one of the taller players on the tour.
