Viktor Troicki is a native of Belgrade, with both Serb and Russian ethnic roots. His paternal grandparents emigrated from Tver to Serbia in 1917. His childhood idol is Andre Agassi.He began playing tennis at the age of five with fellow Serbian Nenad Trifunovic coaching him. He speaks both English and Serbian. Is the son of Aleksandar, a lawyer, and Mila, an economist. Troicki moved to Boca Raton, Florida, to train from ages 13-15. Actually enjoyed soccer more than tennis as a child, and was unsure if he would continue to play tennis because of his passion for the other game. Is a fan of Partisan Belgrade on the pitch.
