Very happy for Davydenko, but what a letdown of a final after a week of gripping tennis!  Still, hope the Russian uses this first major win as a springboard for even bigger and better things in 2010.  He's a solid player and uses every inch of his small stature to construct beautiful rallies.  I love to watch him play!

Feel happy for Davydenko for besting Federer and collecting the biggest title in his career thus far. Well Done.

And yes, we were presently surprised by Del Potro. We thought he would put in the type of effort that Nadal showed this week. Makes 2010 so much more interesting.

i actually thought Nole or Delpo was going to take the final. Nole totally brought it these last couple of tournaments.

i wonder if Delpo is just overwhelmed with fame and pressure after winning the U.S Open. i would imagine it is hard to adjust to such craziness and all the publiicty after winning a final like the U.S. Open.

But I am looking forward to an exciting 2010 from both of these players. Does anyone know the first tournament for these players next year? Let me know.

have you seen how small the guy is??? have yall ralized he is super fast...? he is a very solid player he is going to hang out for at least 3 or 4 years, he may even win a grand slam in 2010
