This past Monday, Caroline Wozniacki dipped to No. 8 in the WTA rankings, her lowest slot since early July of 2009. After back-to-back seasons of 63 and 62 wins, Wozniacki is a fairly pedestrian 20-9 so far in 2012 without a single tournament championship. Here's a quick look at the rise and fall of three former No. 1's with similar circumstances to Wozniacki.

Rankings Report: Rafael Nadal loses No. 2 Spot
The blue clay of Madrid was enough to cause some shifts at the top -- including Federer back as the ATP's No. 2 and Serena continuing her climb up the women's rankings.
By Nick Georgandis

As was reported yesterday following his victory at Madrid, Roger Federer has supplanted Rafael Nadal as the No. 2 player in the world, after 53 weeks ranked either third or fourth -- definitively unfamiliar territory for the man with 16 Grand Slam titles to his credit.

Federer Becomes the Newest Member of the Men in Black
Since Roger Federer is out-of-this-world amazing at tennis, Will Smith made him an honorary member of the Men in Black with a framed suit after his win in Madrid this weekend.
By Nick Georgandis

Movie star Will Smith was on hand in Madrid to help out with the title celebration. Roger Federer has won a lot of tournaments and received a lot of odd trophies over the years, but a suit from one of the most popular sci-fi movies of the last 25 years? Even the Maestro might get a kick out of that. Read More
