I'M NOT A JOINER

 I was switching back and forth between the Red Sox game and the Open(I'm a real Sox fan from Boston not a recent years fair weather fan)and suddenly woke up in my recliner (nothing new) to hear that the Fenway boys had pulled one out in the late innings.

I said I was a Sox fan but I'm not a member of the teams fan club called Red Sox Nation because I'm not a joiner type of person.

When I fully awakened I remembered there was late night Open Tennis on, so I clicked to ESPN 2 just in time to see Andy Roddick having a tantrum about a lines woman having called a foot fault on him and then when asked which foot it was she told Andy it was his right foot(from her perspective facing Andy) rather than telling him it was his front foot-which from his perspective was his left foot.

He wouldn't let it go !!  He knew she had mis-identified the offending sneaker,but he kept on ranting and raving at the referee until  he turned the home crowd against him,(New Yorkers don't like whiners!)

Meanwhile Janko Tipsarevic watched and waited---waiting to play tennis.

When Roddick was done  with his foolishness---- that is just  what Janko did.

Roddick had won the 1st set then after dropping the 2nd he got into deep trouble in the 3rd and tried his best to shake things up with the foot fault thing(smelled like desperation to me).

Tipsarevic held on and closed Andy out in 4 with a beautifully solid tactical and technical performance that any coach would applaud. 

In the post match interview with Brad Gilbert ,Tipsarevic proved to be intelligent, articulate and honest.
