Second Serve - A Tennis Now Blog

Second Serve

The strangest thing to ever happen at a tennis match has finally happened. And it happened tonight, at the Sarasota Challenger, where Frances Tiafoe and Mitchell Krueger were playing a first-round match, eventually won by Tiafoe 6-3, 6-2.

But it wasn’t the tennis that was the most, er, stimulating occurrence on this balmy evening in Sarasota. It was the disturbance that interrupted the players.

The sounds of love-making wafted onto the court, making both players antsy, and keeping the crowd on edge. Yes, we said the sounds of love-making, but we’re not sure about the love part.

Anyway, we digress.

We don’t want to get too graphic here, so we’ll just steer you to the video above. Watch – and listen – closely at the :15 second mark and the 1:50 mark, or just watch the whole video and let the commentator explain the occurrences.

Have to love Tiafoe’s reaction what we’ll refer to simply as fornication.

“It can’t be that good,” he says, as the crowd bursts into laughter.
