Just when we'd thought we'd seen it all...

There was more trouble in Bernie’s world on Tuesday at the U.S. Open and tanking had nothing to do with it. The controversial, potty-mouthed Bernard Tomic verbally attacked a heckler during his 6-4, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(0) loss to the Bosnian, Damir Dzumhur. We’re not going to repeat what the Aussie said to a spectator, but we will say that it’s appalling. There’s audio on the above video if you are really interested, but the language is not suitable for children.

Tomic told reporters in press after the match that he apologized to the man. "I think he was just baiting me a bit," Tomic said. "You know, I don't want to get into it. I apologized for what I said to him. I think after he left the first set, I think the crowd got happy he left because he was a bit annoying."

Here's video of Tomic being reprimanded by umpire Cedric Mourier after the game:

We'll keep you posted on the size of Tomic's fine when we hear news from the ITF.
