The 2016 season may go down as the year of the wedding.

We've seen Flavia Pennetta wed Fabio Fognini as well as the weddings of Ana Ivanovic, Dominika Cibulkova and Taylor Fritz.

Vera Zvonareva has also taken the walk down the aisle as part of a double celebration.

In a life-changing year, the 2010 Wimbledon and US Open finalist announced she's married and become a first-time mom.

"Over the past couple of years I wasn't posting much due to lots of injuries and inability to compete," Zvonareva wrote in this Instagram wedding post. "But there is more to life then just sports (even though I love sports!). No matter what, this year is a very fruitful year for me...I became a wife and a mother! Having family feels amazing! But no matter what sport will always play a huge part in my life!"
