After crashing out of the second round at the U.S. Open, two-time runner-up Caroline Wozniacki unleashed a bit of frustration regarding her less than desirable scheduling on Day 3.

Wozniacki, who fell to Ekaterina Makarova in three sets on Court 17 in second-round action on Wednesday, was originally scheduled to play on Court 5. Tournament organizers had their hands full on a busy day that featured 87 singles matches due to a washout on Tuesday, but Wozniacki thinks she deserved better.

“Putting out a schedule where the No.5 in the world is playing on court 5, fifth match on, after 11, I think that’s unacceptable,” she said.

She was also upset that U.S. Open organizers have given Maria Sharapova what she perceived to be preferential treatment.

“Someone who comes back from a drug sentence, performance enhancing drugs, and all of a sudden gets to play every single match on Center Court, I think that’s a questionable thing to do. I think it doesn’t set a good example.
