Wawrinka Undergoes Knee Surgery

Stan Wawrinka won't be defending his US Open title this month, but he hopes to be fully fit for 2018 after undergoing a second knee surgery.

The three-time Grand Slam champion ended his season due to ongoing knee injuries. Now, Wawrinka can start the healing process after surgery.

Q & A: Paul Annacone

Wawrinka shared this post-surgery image captioned "Not the place I wanted to be, but second surgery went well. That means I can start my preparation... 2018 see you soon."

Donna Vekic, Stan's long-time girlfriend, sent her love and support to the 2015 Roland Garros champion with this tweet.
