Venus vs. Serena In Abu Dhabi Exo

The Williams sisters will square off in Abu Dhabi this month—and kids can see the legends play for free.

Serena Williams will face Venus Williams on opening night of the three-day Mubadala World Tennis Championship at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi, December 27-29th.

Organizers announced the 23-time Grand Slam champion joined the field in a Twitter post. Children ages 2-12 can watch the sisters' match free, provided they are accompanied by an adult ticket-holder.

It is Serena's second straight Abu Dhabi appearance. Last December, she lost to Jelena Ostapenko in an exhibition match.

“I loved playing in Abu Dhabi last year,” Serena said in a statement. “I am excited to return to such a beautiful city and to see my fans. This time, I’ll be playing against my sister, so the match will be even more special.”

The Williams sisters exhibition is the lone women's match ahead of the six-man men's exhibition event, which features Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem, Kevin Anderson, Karen Khachanov and Hyeon Chung.

World No. 1 Djokovic will face the winner of the Thiem vs. Khachanov clash in his first match.

Reigning Roland Garros champion Nadal has a first-round bye like Djokovic and will take on either Wimbledon finalist Anderson or Australian Open semifinalist Chung in his first match.
