Maria Sharapova packs a whole lot of sole traveling to tournaments.

The five-time Grand Slam champion gears up for the holidays going sneaker shopping with Complex's Joe La Puma.

As a long-time Nike endorser, it's no surprise Sharapova sings the praises of the swoosh in her shopping trip.

The former No. 1 also confesses to a kicks addiction. Sharapova typically packs anywhere from seven to nine pairs of sneakers when traveling to a tournament.

"I bring about five pairs of tennis shoes on my trip," Sharapova told Complex. "I go through each one like two or three times a week. I bring one or two pairs of running shoes and maybe two off-court pieces, so that's a fair amount, right?"

The 6'2" Russian says her height and comfort are two primary reasons she packs so many sneakers.

"The sneaker culture is crazy," Sharapova said. "Thank God. When you're six-two, I'm like so thankful there's better sneaker options and better options without a heel, to be honest."
