Kiki Bertens is basking in the glory of love this off-season.
The 27-year-old World No.9 tied the knot with physiotherapist Remko de Rijke this weekend. The pair were engaged to be married last year in Bali and there was a funny bit about the original engagement ring that de Re Rijke gave Bertens being too small.
Fellow WTA starts were quick to send congratulatory messages to Bertens over the weekend, among them Julia Goerges, Timea Babos, Johanna Konta, Anastasija Sevastova, Elise Mertens, Kristina Mladenovic, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Daria Gavrilova and Casey Dellacqua.
De Remke, 33, will remain with Bertens as part of her coaching team in 2020. The Dutchwoman parted ways with longtime coach Raemon Sluiter at the end of the season and has elected to continue on with Elise Tamaela as her coach.
