Novak Djokovic has suffered a bit of a niggle on his right thumb in the first set of his Australian Open final with Andy Murray.

In the eighth game, at 30-all, Djokovic tried to stop and change direction when a Murray drive clipped the let cord. But he ended up squishing his thumb on the hard court and never making it. For the next couple games he kept shaking the thumb out and eventually saw the trainer after Murray broke him back for 5-4.

Update:

Djokovic appears to be fine as the pair head for the first-set tiebreaker.
