Twins traded places in the Doha draw.

Karolina Pliskova withdrew from the Qatar Total Open citing a viral illness.

Halep: Fed Cup on Par With Slams

The second-seeded Czech's departure opened a spot for her twin sister, lucky loser Kristyna Pliskova, to replace her in the draw.

Drained from playing Fed Cup last weekend in Ostrava, Karolina Pliskova joins fellow former No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki and French Fed Cup hero Caroline Garcia in withdrawing.

"I had a temperature few days," Karolina Pliskova told the media in Doha. "I don't have any neck pain or something, but I just feel overall super tired, and my muscles are just hurting from the morning without even doing anything. So I'm just not able to compete 100 percent today."

The Pliskova twins were replaced in the doubles field by American Alison Riske and Ons Jabeur.
