While many tennis fans had their attention on Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal during Day 5 of the Australian Open, Andy Murray was quietly playing some near-perfect tennis against Joao Sousa in his third-round match. Clearly, the great Scot is a player to watch in week two. He's a three-time finalist in Melbourne that finished 2014 as one of the hottest players in the men's game. And he's mowed down everybody he's faced thus far in Melbourne.

Murray lost this point in the third set of his tilt with Sousa, but demonstrated his capacity for grinding points, exquisite touch and a bit of showmanship as well.

The sixth seed has won all nine sets he’s played in Melbourne and he’s brimming for what is one of the most highly anticipated matches of Day 7 when he meets Grigor Dimitrov in the round of 16.

“It will be a tough match obviously,” Murray said of his upcoming clash with the Bulgarian. “He's played well in the slams the last year or so. Yeah, he's obviously a talented player. You know, he's one of the young guys trying to make a breakthrough, so he'll be motivated. Hopefully I can play a good match and make it tough for him.”

Dimitrov took two of three from Murray in 2014, including a their only clash at a major in the Wimbledon quarterfinals, but Murray owns a 4-2 lifetime edge against Dimitrov.
