Think Roger Federer isn’t dialed in at this year’s Australian Open? Think again! Watch as Federer pulls off one of the most mind-blowing shots of week one during his fourth-round, five-set victory over Kei Nishikori.

Clearly Federer’s time in the Swiss Alps last season has done him well. He’s refreshed, reinvigorated and ready to roll.

And Federer’s backhand, typically the shot that a lot of his opponents like to pick on, has been pretty much flawless in Melbourne. It left even Federer impressed after his Day 7 win over Nishikori.

“I thought actually I hit my backhand very well tonight, which has probably won me the match for once, my backhand. Who knows?” he said.
