Octagon Tennis announced the signing of 2016 US Open Junior Champion Kayla Day to an exclusive worldwide representation agreement. Day will be represented by Alex Sohaili.

“We are very pleased that Kayla has selected Octagon to represent her as she begins her professional career,” said Alastair Garland, Vice President of Octagon Tennis. “Kayla has proven that she is ready to take the next step and compete at the highest level.”

A native of Santa Barbara, CA, Day is the youngest player ranked inside the WTA top 200. The 17-year-old qualified for the U.S. Open main draw last season by winning the Under-18 national championship and went on to reach the second round at the US Open. Last fall, Day won the USTA Australian Open Wild Card challenge by winning the Macon 50k and reaching the semifinals in the Scottsdale 50k. She will compete in the Main Draw of the 2017 Australian Open Championships for the first time.

The left-handed Day, currently ranked 194 in the world, attained the No.1 junior ranking last season.
