Petra Kvitova has been forced out of this week’s Brisbane International due to a viral illness. The 27-year-old World No.29 said she became ill on the long flight over to Australia and wasn’t able to recover in time to play the main draw on Monday.
She was replaced by Heather Watson in the main draw.
Kvitova plays to play at next week’s Sydney International, which takes place from January 7-13.
