Heather Watson played a thrilling three-setter with Serena Williams in 2015 at Wimbledon, but couldn’t get the win. This year Watson was bounced out of the draw in the first round but the Guernsey native did achieve one victory.

Watson wins the award for the highest fine of week one of the Championships. She was handed a $12,000 fine for unsportsmanlike conduct when she smashed a racquet after failing to convert a match point against Germany’s Annika Beck, while Williams was docked $10,000 for her own transgressions during her second-round victory over Christina McHale. The reason for the disparity between the two fines? Watson damaged the grass with her racquet smash; Williams simply broke it on her chair during a changeover.

The message: Don’t disrespect Wimbledon’s grass.

There were 17 fines handed out in total through Saturday, 14 of which went to ATP players and 3 that were levied against WTA Talent.

Nick Kyrgios was the only player fined multiple times. The Aussie picked picked up a $4,000 fine for an audible obscenity and a $2,500 penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct.

There were three fines of $10k or more in total. Viktor Troicki was fined $10k for ripping into umpire Damiano Torella after his Day 4 loss to Albert Ramos-Vinolas. See it below:

In total there were 10 unsportsmanlike conduct fines, 6 audible obscenity fines and one illegal coaching fine.
