Wozniacki Withdraws From Washington, DC


Caroline Wozniacki's Citi Open experience is over before it began.

The Australian Open champion withdrew from Washington, DC today due to a leg injury.

Wozniacki, who had been practicing with taping around her right leg, called it a "nagging" issue in her pre-tournament press conference.






"It's just something that has been nagging a little bit," Wozniacki told the media in Washington, DC. "But hopefully, it will be fine.

"I'm just trying my best possible to be in my best shape for the US Open."
