Second Serve - A Tennis Now Blog

Second Serve

It was reunion day at Wimbledon.

Seven-time champion Roger Federer showed some fast hands hitting with 2002 champion Lleyton Hewitt, ahead of the Aussie wild card's Wimbledon farewell.

Then the father of two sets of twins squared off with another familiar face, Cruz Hewitt, Lleyton's young son.

This was actually the second clash between the 17-time Grand Slam champion and young Cruz.

You may recall the pair played at the Sydney exhibition in January.

Cruz, sporting the backward baseball cap, green-and-gold shirt and Yonex racquet just like his famous father, tried testing the Federer backhand side that day though he refrained from the family's signature "come on!" celebration.

Check out Roger rallying with a 6-year-old Cruz about 30 seconds into the video below.

Looks like there may soon be a sequel to the Federer-Hewitt rivalry on the horizon.
