Boom Goes the Federer Backhand in Halle


Roger Federer is still trying to find his best form in Halle, and he’s hoping to win his ninth title at the Gerry Weber Open so that he can head to Wimbledon with confidence on high.

His backhand appears ready for SW19.

Check out this return, struck at 128 KMPH, with precision, during today’s round of 16 tilt with Germany’s Mischa Zverev.

Can you say vapor trail? You cannot hit it any better than that.

Federer and Zverev are still on serve late in the first set. It has been an entertaining match, much better than the pair’s last meeting in Halle, which was won by Federer, 6-0, 6-0 in 40 minutes.
