Halle Draw Released, Federer to Open with Yen-Hsun Lu

Top-seeded Roger Federer will look to find his footing on the grass at the Gerry Weber Open in Halle Germany next week. The 8-time champion has drawn Yen-Hsun Lu in his first round match and could face Mischa Zverev next.

Dominic Thiem, seeded second in Halle, will open with a qualifier and will face either David Ferrer or Robin Haase next.

The quarterfinals at Halle, if the seeds hold, would feature as follow:

Federer, who fell to Alexander Zverev in the semifinals and had his fifteen-match streak at Halle last year, owns a 54-6 record at the event.

No.3-seeded Kei Nishikori opens with Fernando Verdasco while No.4-seeded Zverev opens with Paolo Lorenzi.
