Thiem Apologizes For Adria Tour Behavior


Dominic Thiem has apologized for player behavior on the Adria Tour.

The world No. 3 said in an Instagram post "our behavior was a mistake, we acted too euphorically. I am extremely sorry."

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric and Viktor Troicki, who all played on the Adria Tour charity exhibition series earlier this month, have all tested positive for coronavirus.

Djokovic's wife and Troicki's wife have also tested positive.

Fellow ATP players, including Nick Kyrgios and Mitchell Krueger, have blasted the Djokovic-led Adria Tour, for lax safety protocols and the "boneheaded" decision to play the event in this coronavirus climate.

Players did not social distance, few players or fans wore masks and several players were seen dancing shirtless in a Belgrade night club on leaked video of a player party.

The Australian Open finalist said he's been tested 10 times in the last five days and reports all tests have been negative.
