Second Serve

First Greek man to reach the second week at Wimbledon. First Greek man to reach the semi-finals at the Australian Open. And on Monday, Stefanos Tsitsipas will be the first Greek man to ever crack the Top 10.

Tsitsipas was well aware of what he’d done after he finished off his 4-6 7-6(4) 7-6(4) victory over Gael Monfils on Friday at the Dubai Duty Free Championships--he signed the camera accordingly.

“I wanted to get there at some point myself, and I made it today,” Monfils said after the match, according to ATPWorldTour.com.

The Greek will bid for his third career title—and his first at the 500 level—when he meets Roger Federer in the Dubai final. It will be a monstrous occasion for Federer as well as the Swiss is bidding to become the second player in ATP history to crack the century mark in titles.
