Barbora Strycova will now become a triple threat on the WTA Tour. Singes, doubles and motherhood. The former World No.1 doubles player announced her pregnancy on Friday.
“I used to hate getting bakery products (mainly) on court,” she wrote on Twitter. “However now when there is a little bun in the oven, I couldn’t be happier!”
The current World No.4 in doubles and World No.45 in singles is 34 years of age. No word on whether she plans to return to the circuit as a mother, but we’re thinking she will!
