Video: Cecchinato Gives Kyrgios a Lift in Paris

During his straight sets loss to Nick Kyrgios, Italian Marco Cecchinato showed excellent sportsmanship in lending a hand to Nick Kyrgios after the Aussie took a tumble at the net early in the first set.

But Cecchinato wasn’t so kind to Kyrgios in the second set. The 17th seed nearly pulled off an incredible ‘tweener on this point but Cecchinato leapt up for the backhand volley to steal the point.



In other early results on Day 1 of the French Open, Benoit Paire slipped past Moldova’s Radu Albot in five sets, Teymuraz Gabashvili defeated Donald Young in straight sets, while Igor Sijsling defeated Adrian Ungur of Romania, also in three sets.
