Benneteau, Lim Among Roland Garros Wild Cards


While the French Tennis Federation denied two-time former champion Maria Sharapova a wild card, the FFT did make wild card dreams come true for several players.

FFT president Bernard Giudicelli announced the Roland Garros wild cards during a Facebook live streaming session.

The Roland Garros wild-card recipients are:

Men's singles main draw

• Julien Benneteau
• Benjamin Bonzi
• Mathias Bourgue
• Quentin Halys
• Laurent Lokoli
• Alexandre Muller
• Tennys Sandgren (USA)
• Following to the agreement between the FFT and Tennis Australia, a wild-card is allocated to a player from Australia.

Women's singles main draw

• Tessah Andrianjafitrimo
• Fiona Ferro
• Myrtille Georges
• Amandine Hesse
• Alizé Lim
• Chloé Paquet
• Amanda Anisimova (USA)
• Following to the agreement between the FFT and Tennis Australia, a wild-card is allocated to a player from Australia.

Men's singles qualifying draw
