Alexander Zverev defeated Novak Djokovic to win the Rome title, 6-4, 6-3, and will become the youngest player to reach the ATP’s top 10 since 2008 on Monday.

The 20-year-old German becomes the youngest player to win a Masters 1000 title since Djokovic won Miami in 2007. Zverev did not face a break point against Djokovic in the final. It was just the third time that Djokovic has not been able to earn a break point in his 95 career finals, and it also marks the first time that Djokovic has lost to a player younger than him in a final.
