Venus Williams made quite an impression on the young Caroline Wozniacki during their first Copenhagen meeting.

Last night, the Grand Slam champions made a major impression reconvening in Copenhagen.

In a rematch of the 2017 WTA Finals in Singapore, world No. 2 Wozniacki outdueled the 37-year-old Williams, 6-4, 6-3, in front of a sold-out crowd of 12,500 at Parken Stadium.

The Australian Open champion shared this tweet of her first meeting with the four-time Olympic gold-medal champion when Wozniacki was just 12 years old.

Williams conceded she doesn't recall much about meeting the young Wozniacki, who was both a Williams sisters and Martina Hingis fan growing up.

In retrospect, Wozniacki's rise from that initial meeting reaffirmed Williams' belief in the power of striving for dreams.

"Mostly, I remember the picture," Williams said. "I didn't know I was going to meet someone who was going to be a Grand Slam winner later, so you never know. That's why everyone should just live their dream and go for it."
