The former world No. 1 shared the celebration day on social media.

"I'm a little out of it (meds) but nonetheless, thankful and relieved I finished my six chemo treatments," Evert posted on Twitter alongside a touching video of her thanking the medical team who cared for her during chemotherapy.

"Love you, thank you so much ... We hope we don't see you again," a smiling Evert told the medical team as she departed.

Evert shared her cancer diagnosis in January, appearing on ESPN's coverage of the Australian Open in positive spirits and vowing to battle through chemotherapy.

The 18-time Grand Slam champion continues to inspire others. Evert won at least one Grand Slam singles title for a record 13 consecutive years, she was the first player—man or woman—to win 1,000 career matches and her .900 career winning percentage is best in history for a woman or a man.
