Muguruza Sixth to Qualify for WTA Finals



Spain’s Garbiñe Muguruza has become the sixth player to qualify for this year’s WTA Finals at Singapore, joining Angelique Kerber, Serena Williams, Agnieszka Radwanska, Simona Halep and Karolina Pliskova. Muguruza will make her second appearance at the prestigious year-end championships. Last year she went 3-1, winning all three round-robin matches before dropping a three-set semifinal to eventual champion Agnieszka Radwanska.

Muguruza won her maiden Grand Slam title at this year's French Open, defeating Serena Williams in the final.

There are still two spots left to claim and five players in the hunt.
