The Ymer brothers know how to throw a house party.

Playing their first ATP doubles event together, Stockholm brothers Elias Ymer and Mikael Ymer thrilled home fans thumping No. 4 seeds Mate Pavic and Michael Venus, 6-1, 6-1, to capture the Stockholm Open doubles title.

The 20-year-old Elias and 18-year-old Mikael needed just 51 minutes to breeze to their first ATP title.

"I don't think me or Mikael did expect our first ATP title to come in doubles, especially at the Stockholm Open, which is our hometown in front of all of the people," Elias Ymer told the If Stockholm Open. "We had a great time and I really enjoyed playing with Mikael."

The Ymers joined twins Mike Bryan and Bob Bryan and brothers Alexander Zverev and Mischa Zverev as the third brothers to contest an ATP final this season.

It was a double celebration for Mikael Ymer, who scored his first ATP singles win over Fernando Verdasco in the first round. The younger Ymer, who entered his hometown tournament ranked No. 549, took the first set from third-seeded Ivo Karlovic before bowing 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the second round.

The brothers fought off three match points to beat No. 3 seeds Marcin Matkowski and Jean-Julien Rojer in the first round and upset second seeds Rohan Bopanna and Treat Huey in the semifinals.

The sprint to the Stockholm title could well be the start of a long-running doubles partnership for the brothers, whose father, Wondwosen, was a professional runner. Their mother, Kelem, is a doctor.

"It's been unreal," Mikael Ymer said. "We clicked very well and we played some great doubles. I'm really happy with this win and I'm really excited for our future in doubles."
