Sania Mirza has given birth to a baby boy named Izhaan. The former WTA doubles No.1 and six-time major champion announced her pregnancy in April, and has said she plans to resume her career and play in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Her husband, cricketer Shoaib Malik, announced the news on Twitter, saying that the baby had arrived and that Mirza was doing well.
Malik’s agent and manager also tweeted about the news, saying that “baby and mother are all smiles and dad is over the moon.”
