The WTA has announced the winners of its year-end awards, and World No.1 Simona Halep claims the Player of the Year award to go with her year-end No.1 ranking.

The Romanian, who won her first major title at Roland Garros in June, edged out Caroline Wozniacki, Naomi Osaka, Angelique Kerber and Petra Kvitova in the voting.

Kiki Bertens, Aryna Sabalenka, Serena Williams, Elina Svitolina, Katerina Siniakova and Barbora Krejcikova also took home awards.

Bertens nabbed the Most Improved player award after leading the tour in Top 10 wins with 10 and claiming her biggest career title at the Western and Southern Open. Bertens won three titles in total and also reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon.

Williams, who reached major finals at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open after giving birth to her baby Olympia last September, earned Comeback Player of the Year while Sabalenka took home the honors for Newcomer of the Year.

Krejcikova and Siniakova, who won Roland Garros and Wimbledon women’s doubles titles, took home the Award for Best Doubles Team, and Elina Svitolina landed the Jerry Diamond Aces Award, presented to the player who consistently goes above and beyond in promoting the sport of women’s tennis to fans, media, and local communities by performing off-court promotional and charitable activities.
