Andy Murray will continue his singles comeback in Asia.

The former world No. 1 has accepted a wild card into next month's Rolex Shanghai Masters.

Tournament organizers announced Murray's wild card on Twitter.

The three-time Shanghai champion raised the title trophy three years ago.

"I'm really looking forward to be going back to Shanghai, a tournament I have had success at in the past," Murray said. "Thanks to the tournament for a wildcard, it's great to be able to continue my comeback and play more tennis in China. Shanghai is a great city—I feel comfortable there and the fans are always supportive."

The 32-year-old Murray underwent hip resurfacing surgery after the Australian Open in January.

Murray will launch his Asian swing later this month playing the 250-level Zhuhai Tennis Championships, which also has commitments from Stefanos Tsitsipas, Gael Monfils, Roberto Bautista Agut and Nick Kyrgios.

Following Zhuhai, Murray is scheduled to make his fourth appearance at the China Open in Beijing.
