Sharapova suits up with a little more than a Nike dress for this Australian Open...
|
Who is the star of this little interview here?
Maria Sharapova,
her ugly peach and gray Nike dress, or that HUGE rock on her finger? Ding, ding, ding- I’m thinking that bling bling. That ring sure seems to twinkle as she holds that microphone. Truly the ring is hard to miss because of it's enormity- some scream, "That's a HUGE b****h!". She certainly didn't sell me the dress even though she described the hideous dress as fresh and that she favors wearing dresses for slams, HOWEVER, she has made me consider looking for a mediocre skilled basketball player. Do I have a shot? jk.
If you are not convinced this little promo is not about the ring, I have another piece of crucial evidence. When she talks about her all new Nike shoes they don't even do a close up until her left hand falls to her knee where they can show off the ring and the shoes at the same time.
I wish I could be Masha's engagement ring when I grow up. The ring is reportedly worth $250,000 (That's no
half-a-million dollar watch like Rafa's but close). Let's just hope she wears it for more than a year or two. Don't get me wrong- I truly hope the best for Sasha Vujacic and Maria but I have my doubts.
Moving on.... How do you think Maria will fair in the Australian Open? I was looking at
pictures of her practicing the Tennis Now Australian Open Practice Gallery where she looks like she is putting her nose to grind stone. With Serena Williams out, the results of the major are seriously unknown. As of right now I am predicting that Vera Zvonareva might step it up to win her first Grand Slam title in Australia and that Maria Sharapova may make it to the quarterfinals.

Drooling guys will watch to see Ivanovic in a bikini, the rest of us will compare the canonball into the pool to her lack-luster game.

This isn't the jealousy cry of a mean girl envious of
Ana Ivanovic. She is a doll and brings a lot of eyes to tennis (even though a lot of them are pervy), however her performance in tennis has began to fall apart with out hope of return. Her
first round exit at the Australian Open is proof enough.
Last year she blamed her performance on a break-up with Australian pro golfer, Adam Scott, which is fair enough, BUT this year she said she was playing her best but that her abdominal strain hurt her which she kind of danced around. If you read
Ivanovic's interview at the Aussie Open after the loss she takes a total backtrack process from saying at first, "I really try my best out there today," to finally admitting, "It was the whole game that I played lousy." Then, she says she was very positive to her having a lot of negative energy. So which is it, Ana?
