I don't know about you but I have noticed a trend that many of the WTA players become some kind of sex symbol, start doing some modeling, and then their tennis game goes down in the pooper.

We have seen this happen to the likes of Ana Kournikova,
Maria Sharapova, and
Ana Ivanovic. Granted- you can't blaim them it must be nice to make lots of money and popularity from being "really, really, ridiculously good-looking," but then where is the love and drive for our favorite game especially when you have been a former world number one and in just a couple years you can't even get past the first round of a tournament. It comes down to choosing looks vs. tennis quality. Hopefully, other pretty players, like
Maria Kirilenko, do not follow this pattern and plays tennis first and being sexy second. Anyone can be beautiful but few can win a grandslam!
What's your opinion on the issue? Am I being harsh?
So... I know I seem to pick on Maria Sharapova a bit, but it's because I want her to start playing some good tennis and to stop thinking the world cares what she puts in her hair after a shower. For goodness' sake she's a former number one and used to be compared as the WTA's Roger Fed. Yes, she is a cute girl and young but those things fade and she should want tennis to remember her for her legacy. I want to hear that she is trying to regain her former glory or at least try instead of the fact that she doesn't wear makeup on court as she claims (yeah, right!). Enough on appearances and let's get back to tennis! I was rather disappointed to hear she was out of Madrid already with the unexpected Justine Henin. Do you think she will be able to make it past the first round of the French?
What did you think of the video? Do you think she doesn't follow a strict diet? Do you think she is being truthful about not wearing makeup?
P.S. Blondes do not have black eyelashes without the help of mascara. Just some food for thought. :)

What a cute blonde family. The Hewitts say the baby is due in December to add to their family of four.

I recently saw the couple at a tournament and you would NEVER know that she was pregnant. She wore a moderately loose shirt but I was shocked to hear this.
Reports claim that the baby was a big shocker for the couple who didn't plan on having any more children until
Lleyton retires. They both say they are really happy.
I think they are a great couple for being able to balance family life with tennis. They have a daughter, Mia, who is 4 and a son, Cruz, who is a year old. Tennis truly is a sport that requires constant travel basically every two weeks around the world, year around. I can't imagine how hard it is to be a dad and 33 world ranked pro-tennis player! GO Lleyton!
Congratulations Hewitts! Hope to see Lleyton gets far in the French to give the Aussies some hope.
