Prince and the Nintendo Wii Join Forces
Leave it to Prince, a real tennis racquet maker, to make a nice, high quality fake Wiimote tennis racquet attachment.
Besides playing tennis, I also play a lot of videogames. So, when I found out that Prince came out with racquet controlllers for the Wii, I went ballastic. These new racquet controllers for the Wii look amazing.
Their Wii accessory is, quite simply, the nicest, most authentic-looking tennis-racquet-looking Wiimote topper that I've seen yet. If the tiny Brando tennis racquet can increase the realistic feeling of Wii Sports, maybe these more realistic tennis racquets can do even better.

What do you think? Has anyone tried these Wiimote out yet?

Check out the #1 Wii tennis player beat John Isner.

NEW BALANCE CT1004 is my shoe of the week
With the latest shoes hitting the stores this year, I wanted to disucss the shoes that catch my eye and stand out. For this first post, I want to feature the 2010 New Balance CT 1004 tennis shoe.

With the latest shoes hitting the stores this year, I wanted to disucss the shoes that catch my eye and stand out. For this first post, I want to feature the 2010 New Balance CT 1004 tennis shoe.

From the Tennis Express blog:

"This shoe features some the newest technology that provides extreme support of tennis players. It is designed to provide a stable and comfortable ride. What really stood out for me was the S-Curve feature on the bottom sole of the shoe. It is a band made of rubber and plastic that curves from the bottom of the shoe to the outer sole which provides greater stability and durability."

I actually had a chance to check out the shoe in person. The Tennis Express staff made a great description of the shoe. The shoe isn't that heavy but I could tell it was very durable shoe. I really dug the S-curve feature. When I tried on these shoes, I immediately felt the stability, especially when i stood up and put all my weight on them.

I know that New Balance are known for running shoes but what better company should make tennis shoes. They understand the need for durability on the hard courts. Right now, I'm debating on getting this shoe or the new Barricade Vs from Adidas. But the New Balance shoes are priced cheaper, so that really attract me too.

What do you think? Is the New Balance CT 1004 shoe a better shoe than the Barricade Vs in regards to technology?

Is Djokovic a Nazi
Check out this video claiming that Nole is a Serbian Nazi. Real or fake? What do you think?
While browsing for the Murray vs Nadal match on Youtube, I stumbled across this video claiming that Nole is a Nazi. The video shows that the Nazi 3 Finger Salute has been used by Nazis in the past and is still used today by some Nazis especially Serbian Nazis better known as Chetniks.

The Nazi 3 Finger Salute originated in Germany during World War 2.
Meaning of the Nazi 3 Finger Salute: 1 Finger for the people; 1 Finger for the nation; and 1 Finger for the Führer (Hitler).

What do you guys think? Is the joker a neo-nazi?

Broadcasters mentioned that New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees once had beaten Andy Roddick.
If you were like most Americans this past Sunday, you were probably glued to the t.v. watching the Superbowl. It was an amazing battle between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts. But if you are a tennis fan like the rest of here at Tennis Now, then you probably noticed when the broadcasters
mentioned that New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees once had beaten Andy Roddick.

Roddick's earliest nemesis was Brees:

They were two Texas tykes on an Austin tennis court. The little shaver with the sound strokes, even at the age of 8 or 9, was Andy Roddick. The other kid did not have Roddick's grounding in tennis fundamentals, but how he would compete!

His name was Drew Brees.

“I remember the most annoying thing was that Drew played about twice a week,” Roddick said. “I was hard-core; I was playing every day, every weekend. I could never beat the guy.”

Which is not how Brees remembers it. The Chargers quarterback said when he was opposing Roddick, who was three years his junior, he always was aware that one day, the little guy across the net would beat him. Finally, as Brees recalls, he did.

“I think it was the last tournament I played,” Brees said. “I had beaten him something like 6-2, 6-0 the first time I played him, and I beat him twice more. He looked so little on the court, but his game was so fundamentally sound and he had such good ground strokes that the only way I could beat him was to serve and volley. I kind of salvaged points here and there.”
