With the latest shoes hitting the stores this year, I wanted to disucss the shoes that catch my eye and stand out. For this first post, I want to feature the 2010
New Balance CT 1004 tennis shoe.
From the
Tennis Express blog:
"This shoe features some the newest technology that provides extreme support of tennis players. It is designed to provide a stable and comfortable ride. What really stood out for me was the S-Curve feature on the bottom sole of the shoe. It is a band made of rubber and plastic that curves from the bottom of the shoe to the outer sole which provides greater stability and durability."
I actually had a chance to check out the shoe in person. The Tennis Express staff made a great description of the shoe. The shoe isn't that heavy but I could tell it was very durable shoe. I really dug the S-curve feature. When I tried on these shoes, I immediately felt the stability, especially when i stood up and put all my weight on them.
I know that New Balance are known for running shoes but what better company should make tennis shoes. They understand the need for durability on the hard courts. Right now, I'm debating on getting this shoe or the new Barricade Vs from Adidas. But the New Balance shoes are priced cheaper, so that really attract me too.
What do you think? Is the New Balance CT 1004 shoe a better shoe than the Barricade Vs in regards to technology?
What's on your mind?
