Serena Williams was captured on camera with country-singer Jake Owen leaving a restaurant at Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills on October 7th. The paparazzi made it look like Williams’ has a new flame but it seems that they are “just friends”.
|
Despite the shocked look on her face, it does not seem the two were trying to keep it private or secretive.
After their date, she tweeted, "@jakeowen had so much fun tonite! Yea can't wait to see concert tomm! Fun time see u tomm/today!!! Lol MardyFish wish u were here!"
According to X17online, the 13-time Slam champion and Owen did not try to sneak out separately, but kept their exit "as low key as possible." The two were not seen holding hands as they exited and all the tweet implies is that she and
Fish are fans or friends of the country star. Although one should note that Fish called out Caroline Wozniacki and Rory McIlroy on their relationship which was real and Fish did the same to Williams.
After seeing the photos and rumors, she tweeted, “Ugh paparazzi annoying. Honestly really? Like I wonder what tomm they will say.”
In 2010, Williams end her relationship with rapper Common but has not been linked to any other beaus since but she insists her relationship with Owen is only friends.
Serena Williams said officially that, “I am not dating Jake Owen. He is a great guy with a super amazing girlfriend. It’s not fair to me to Jake or his girlfriend to say we r dating when u just hang out and have dinner with friends. So stop the lies!!”
Looks like it’s just another scheme of the popular media trying to spin yarn into gold. More important did anyone see that Serena has PURPLE streaks in her hair.... very stylish!

There has been some cinematic gold on the grounds of Flushing Meadows!
|
Everyone knows the tweener trick shot is being tried by all the players but acrobat/ tennis player Gael Monfils had to bring it to the next level with this shot:
Is Andy getting a little old and absent-minded?
This video is pretty funny because Andy is always full of sarcasm and smart comments to the media. He made that apparent in a chat with Chris Fowler from ESPN
FOWLER: “You said you’re trying to find yourself and search. There’s a million people, a million voices. A lot of money. ESPN telling you how you should play. You shouldn’t do this. You should do that. Are you searching or is it clear to you?”
RODDICK: “I’m convinced being a tennis analyst is the easiest job in the world. Whatever the person does, if it works you just say ‘that’s what works.’ If it doesn’t work you say ‘he should have done the other thing.’ So you know I’m pretty convinced I could be a tennis analyst when I’m done. . .it just doesn’t take much thought. If I’m grinding and I’m winning you guys are like ‘he’s reinvented himself,’ and if I’m playing like crap and pushing then it’s ‘he’s horrible and needs to hit the ball.’ Everyone’s an expert but I’m better than most have been. . .”
A very sought-after video is the one of Rafael Nadal getting a leg cramp.
Caroline Wozniacki made light of the incident and tried to take on Novak Djokovic's role as the mimicker.
Remember that you can get the top news and more from the US Open with daily reports on Tennis Now TV.

SO True! 21-year-old and World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki is dating Golf's US Open Champion Rory McIlroy.
Wozniacki was a guest on SportsCenter and was asked by Michelle Bonner if they were in a relationship.
“Well I’ll definitely improve my golf swing for the next couple of months, that’s for sure,” Wozniacki said in a round-about way.
--------------------
As for Ms. Serena Williams, after a break-up with rapper Common last year, it's rumored that she has moved on to a younger man.
29-year-old Serera has been associated with 24-year-old rapper Drake. Both are in town in Toronto and were together last week in Florida.
Mediatakeout.com says the tennis diva is dating Drake and sources have said that Serena and Drake have even played a little tennis together while she has been competing in the Rogers Cup.
Is this true or not? Who knows?

Tennis players play and.... they tweet.
|
@DjokerNole tweeted, "Was hitting with Caro @CaroWozniacki today. My neighbour can hit the ball STRONG :-) Monaco RULES ;-) Caro, thanx for giving me some confidence! :-))))"

Does this mean that he thinks that miss Sunshine herself will be the one hitting the ball strong during the US Open series?
She gave similar compliments, "What a practice today with the number 1, @djokernole, hits the ball so well:) #monacorules"
She was rummored to be in a fling with Rory McIlroy but it wouldnt be shocking if she had a crush on the complimentary Novak Djokovic. The things we can twist via twitter is awesome.

Wow, I think Agassi just made me cry!
|
Andre Agassi took time to bare his soul to his loved one in a series of letters to notables in his life and gave people credit for his successful career after being inducted to the Hall of Fame on July 9, 2011.
Whether you love him or hate him, these will move you.
He said, "Each of them deserves a separate Hall of Fame speech. But of course, there isn’t time. So, I’ve written a letter to each of them. Intimate letters. Love letters. But, they’re not private. I want the world to know how I feel. So, I’m putting them on my Foundation’s website, where I hope they’ll serve as a permanent public tribute to those who made this day a reality."
I chose some of my favorite quotes from his speech in Newport, even though it seems every line was inspiriational and honest:
"Dad — when I was five you TOLD me to win Wimbledon. When I was seven you TOLD me to win all four slams. More times than I can remember you TOLD me to get into the hall of fame. And when I was twenty-nine you TOLD me to marry Steffi Graf. The BEST order you ever gave me. So Dad — please don’t ever stop telling me what to do."
"Tennis teaches you that there’s no such thing as perfect. You want to be perfect. You hope to be perfect.
Then you’re out there and you’re far less than perfect. And you realize: I don’t have to be perfect today. I just have to be better than one person."
His letter to Steffi Graf could make any woman's heart swoon. Is this how it is to be loved by Agassi? :)
"...I don't know how you do what you do, but I rely on it like the air I breathe. I not only need to be with you, I want to be more like you..."
Despite some of the harsh things he wrote about his father in his biography, he came back to outline his appreciation.
"...I saw many sides of you growing up, but I know they all came from a place of just wanting the best for me and our whole family..."
Additionally he wrote to his mom,
"...In my Hall Of Fame speech, I celebrated those who always do the right thing quietly, with no applause; those who shine in secret. The unsung heroes. I don't have to look very far to find my unsung hero, I love you Mom..."
his brother Phil,
"...I don't know how you put so many of your dreams aside to make sure mine became reality..."
his trainer and son's namesake Gil Reyes,
"...If he grows up to be half the man you are, I will be eternally happy..."
Nick Bollettieri,
"The International Tennis Hall Of Fame will not be complete until you are there alongside all of the champions that you gave to the world; a recognition that you have earned and that you so deserve."
Brad Gilbert,
"..You taught me how to win from within and to think for myself..."
Darren Cahill
"I'm convinced that your combination of intelligence and care added years to my career."
and more

Novak Djokovic has been partying non-stop since he took the Wimbledon title and No. 1 spot. Live the celebrations in photos and video...
|
Serbian demi-god/ Novak Djokovic went back to Belgrade to enter a massive "I love Nole" festival.
It was recorded that more than 100,000 people came to welcome him back on Monday.
Djokovic has become the local hero of the country and with his success he has been credited in making Serbia a star.
“Novak with his results has already influenced a better image of Serbia, and his position as world Number One and winning the Wimbledon championship is going to underline that,” Milka Forcan, a marketing specialist and former executive at Delta Holding, the country’s largest private sector company said. “The state [also] has to work in an organised and planned way on constant promotion of the country.”
"We have been under huge pressure for a long time’ and that ‘this victory is a great thing for Serbia. Novak really did a great thing for our country," President Boris Tadic said.
Nole said via twitter, "Its time for me to say it one more time. SRBIJA RULES! incredible night to remember forever."

“The Dog Days Are Over!” Cries Novak Djokovic.
|
Apparently, the man bidding to be No.1 in the World, Novak Djokovic, was on another mission during Wimbledon. Before he became No. 1 and defeated Tsonga, he wanted to bring his pooch to Wimbledon and was denied.

The London Telegraph reported that Pierre’s, Nole’s pet toy poodle, absence is a "very serious" issue and Djokovic is pleading with the authorities "at the highest level" according to a close source.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: "We can't see the authorities buckling. Pierre looks set to stay put."
Andy Murray has two border terriers Maggie May and Rusty. Venus Williams has a Havanese named Harold and is rarely parts with him.
Pierre seems to be the closest thing that Nole and his girlfriend, Jelena Ristic, have for a baby. He even has a twitter page- no not Djokovic but the dog. He followed in the footsteps of Andy Murray's dog and Andy Roddick's dog, who are twitter sensations.
Last month, Djokovic was with Pierre at a Paris cafe. Pierre was on a cushion and Djokovic feeding him noodles from his plate.
The power couple will be appearing in the July edition of the fashion magazine L'Uomo Vogue. Pictured above.
