Rafael Nadal owned by Wimbledon
Fined for alleged on-court coaching.

Rafael Nadal was given a code violation by French umpire Cedric Mourier for allegedly receiving advice from his coach, uncle Toni Nadal, during his five-set win over Philipp Petzschener on Saturday.

Both Nadals said Toni had only been giving the player encouragement.

On Monday the fine was announced at $2,000 (a mere chump change for Nadal, who at the French open sported a watch worth an astounding $525,000)

Rafa on the fine:

"Rules are Rules"

That's right, whether you're ranked #1 or #101, the rules are the same for everyone!

This has been going on for a long time but unless uncle Toni is a magician I cannot see what influence he has over Nadal on the court. Telling him to play closer to the baseline or serving to the outside is up to Nadal. In a way it makes Toni look more like a controlling almost overbearing when the real genius is on the court. Is Toni trying to get more credit then he deserves at thi stage of Rafa's career.
