Andy Murray is notorious for changing coaches soon after he gets unwanted results, such as losing in the semifinals of Wimbledon, and this time is no exception.
His current coach, Miles Maclagan, is responsible for suggesting Andy Murray’s diet. The new diet was detrimental to Murray because it was implemented too close to his match with Rafael Nadal. After his most current loss, Murray feels like it’s time for a change.
Andy Murray’s new coach will probably be Daren Cahill. Cahill is a former professional player from Australia. His highest rank achieved was the number 22nd tennis player in the world. One of the things that is most notable about him is his upset win over Boris Becker in the second round at the 1988 U.S. Open.
Murray will most likely stay with Maclagan through the U.S. Open to test his effectiveness as a coach and then switch coaches. It will depend on how he plays in the tournament and if he is satisfied with the results. Is it really the coach's fault though?
