Pet of the day

Today’s pet of the day comes from No.3 seed Novak Djokovic. Pulling off a feat that no one expected, Djokovic came out victorious over No.2 seed Roger Federer in the US Open Men’s Semifinals. The two have battled it out before, with Federer generally coming out the victor, winning 8 out of the last 14 matches they’ve played.

The 23 year old Serb faces tough competition in the finals against Rafael Nadal, losing 12 out of the 19 times they’ve faced one another. Statistically, going into today’s match, the odds are in favor of Nadal (2/5), but these have gone down considerably due to the rain and Djokovic getting the chance to rest up.

But on to the bigger issues at hand, first, in all of the excitement of his victory there is one member of Djoker’s toadies that seems to have been overlooked; his little bowwow Pierre.

The canine comes from the Bichon Frise family, a breed of dogs known for being both playful and very affectionate.

The next issue comes from what is seated in Djokovic’s lap in this photo, a Louis Vuitton travel bag. Why has Djoker never admitted to liking the finer things, especially when it comes to travel wear? This goes to show that not all male athletes are mannish and can enjoy the luxuries in life. Besides, if Louie V is good enough for Vogue editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley, it’s certainly adequate for Nole.
